Furkan Korkmaz Scored Roughly A Zillion Buckets Over The Weekend

Folks, I'm starting to get a little worried about Furkan Korkmaz. It started off as just going on a few benders. And at only 22 years old, that's fairly normal. But over this past weekend, Furkan Korkmaz is binging buckets to the point where I think he might legitimately have a bucket addiction. What started off as being innocent enough is now a serious problem. Because after back-to-back 30+ point performances, I think Furkan Korkmaz is addicted to buckets.

34 against Memphis on Friday night. A new career high for him. 7-for-9 from ThreeLand, 13-for-17 on the night. You'd think after a massive performance like that, he'd try to take it easy for a while just to settle back down. But instead he comes out on Sunday--the Lord's day, mind you--and puts up another 31 points on 17 shots after drilling six from 3.

A zillion buckets. Can't stop, won't stop. Granted, it would be nice to get a 30+ point night performance out of Furkan against some playoff teams instead of just Memphis and Chicago. But when you're addicted to buckets, it doesn't just go away over night. Clippers tomorrow would be great and then all we can hope for from there is that the all star break doesn't ruin everything. I think as long as he stays away from ever putting on those radioactive green sneakers again, we should all be fine.
